Hammond organist Wayne de la Cruz began his
professional career in 1973 playing his first paying gig on Hammond
organ at the age of 16.
Since then he has performed with Randy Vincent, Pete Yellin, Mimi Fox,
Maria Muldaur, Mary Wells, Vernelle Anders, Terri Lynn Carrington,
Allison Miller, Wally Schnalle, Terrence Brewer, Alex Call, The Johnny
Nocturne Band, and The Legion of Mary, among many others.
He has played at these well known venues: S.F. Jazz Center,
Yoshi's Oakland & S.F., Monterey Jazz Festival, Jazz
at Pearl's, Anna's Jazz Island, The Fillmore St. Jazz Festival,
Biscuits and Blues, The Boom Boom Room, The Club Deluxe, The Hedly Club
in San Jose, The Plaza Bistro in Sonoma, Piedmont Piano Co., Bach
Dancing and Dynamite, Kuumbwa, and Vitello's in Studio City, Ca.
He appeared at Chez Hanny previously with the Jeff Massanari Trio, Akira Tana Trio, and
the Wayne de la Cruz Trio.
Guitarist Dave Bell
is a graduate of Berklee College of Music (’78) where he studied with many jazz greats, finding inspiration in the teachings of Gary Burton.
Playing wise, Dave has found outlets for all his musical loves over the years. Blues/reggae/soul with powerhouse singer/songwriter Johnny Smith,
old school rock with Mr. Chin's Hot Sauce, and swing dance with Sweet City Blues. 2009 brought a solo guitar Xmas CD, and 2010 ended a ten year stint with Dan Hicks.
Drummer Mark Lee has a wealth of experience
performing on the San Francisco Bay Area music scene. He has backed
vocalists Ernestine Anderson, Freda Payne, Charles Brown, Mary Lou
Henner, Stephanie Powers, The Pointer Sisters, and many more. He is
also
very active on the instrumental music and musical theater scenes.
He appeared previously at Chez Hanny with Noel Jewkes.
