Kasey Knudsen is a San Francisco-based saxophonist, composer
& educator. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Composition
from Berklee College of Music in 2002.
In addition to leading a number of her own projects, as a co-leader,
she is involved in several groups including the Schimscheimer Family
Trio, the Holly Martins, and the Klaxon Mutant Allstars. Knudsen
collaborates frequently with many of the most unique musical voices in
the Bay Area including multiple performances across the US and Europe
with Tune-Yards, Fred Frith and the Gravity Band, the Charlie Hunter
Quartet, Erik Jekabson, the Ian Carey Quintet + 1, Ben Goldberg, the
Electric Squeezebox Orchestra, and Beth Schenck.
She appeared here previously with Ian Carey, Evan Francis, Erik
Jekabson, Darren Johnston, and Jarrett Cherner.
Henry Hung is a GRAMMY award winning trumpeter, educator, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and composer.
He has performed with David Byrne, Joan Osbourne, the Decemberists, Poncho Sanchez, the Woody Herman Orchestra,
Stanley Clarke, and recorded with the GRAMMY award winning Pacific Mambo Orchestra.
Locally he leads his own group the Klaxon Mutant Allstars and Emplifier.
Danny Lubin-Laden is a trombonist, composer, and educator living in Berkeley, his hometown.
He is an alumnus of Berkeley High School and has toured internationally with its Jazz Ensemble.
Lubin-Laden studied trombone at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York with Art Baron, Alan Ferber, Tyshawn Sorey Lee Konitz, and Ambrose Akinmusere.
He returned to the Bay Area 10 years ago and currently teaches trombone at Berkeley High.
Danny performs regularly with the Marcus Shelby Orchestra, Scott Amendola, Ben Goldberg, The Electric Squeezebox Orchestra, and Johnny Talbot.
He has put out multiple records that are featured on Bandcamp.

Pianist and composer Dahveed Behroozi (b. 1981) is
a NYC based musician who currently resides in the San Francisco Bay
Area. His focus is in jazz, classical, and new music. Dahveed’s playing
has been described as, "highly expressive, lyrical and colorful with a
phenomenal facility" by many artists and various publications.
In addition to performing and recording as a leader and soloist,
Dahveed has performed and recorded with Thomas Morgan, Tyshawn Sorey,
Billy Mintz, and Dayna Stephens.
Originally from San Jose, California, Dahveed received his BA degree in
Jazz Piano from The Manhattan School of Music in 2002 where he studied
under Fred Hersch. He then received his Master’s degree from The
Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College where he studied classical
and contemporary piano literature under Ursula Oppens.
Dahveed is also an active educator and serves on the faculty of Gavilan
College, San Jose State University, and Santa Clara University.
Dahveed was heard here previously with Matt Renzi, Shay Salhov, Scott
Barnhill, Gatekeeper, Raffi Garabedian, and the
Dahveed Behroozi Quartet.
Born in Oakland, CA and growing up in Salt Lake City, Sam Bevan had classical piano lessons from the age of four,
sang and played piano professionally, and earned a BA in French, before dedicating himself to bass, arranging and composing.
He has three CDs as a leader with Emergence being the most recent to date.
