Julian Shore Trio






Based in New York, pianist Julian Shore has become one of the city’s most sought-after pianists. He has performed domestically and abroad with artists as varied as John Patitucci, Gretchen Parlato, George Garzone, Jerry Bergonzi, Theo Bleckman, Chico Pinheiro, Chris Speed, Sara Gazarek, Caroline Davis, Noah Preminger, Dave Stryker, and Don Braden.

He’s appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center and major venues and festivals across Europe, Asia and South America.

As an educator Shore remains active in a variety of settings. He was an artistic consultant for Herbie Hancock’s Master Class for masterclass.com, and transcribed and notated hundreds of pages of Herbie’s piano performance for the course. He teaches privately at the New School, through the New York Jazz Academy, and has presented workshops and masterclasses at universities and performance venues across the globe.

Martin Nevin is a composer and double bassist originally from Los Angeles, currently based in NYC.

In 2006, Martin received a scholarship to attend Manhattan School of Music, where he studied bass with Jay Anderson and David Grossman, and composition with Michael Patterson. Since then he has performed and/or recorded with notable artists such as Albert “Tootie” Heath, Billy Hart, Greg Osby, Jason Moran, Ambrose Akinmusire, Ethan Iverson, and Aaron Parks, in venues across the U.S and abroad.

In May 2017, Martin earned a Masters degree from Columbia University in Music Education. In November 2017, Martin was awarded a grant by the Jerome Fund for New Music, awarded by the American Composers Forum.

His debut record was "Tenderness is Silent". His most recent release, "A Drowsy Shadow",was recently released.

Allan Mednard was born and raised in Queens, New York. His early musical experiences involved New York City's All-City High School Music program, Bayside High School's Academy of Music, and Queens College's Center for Preparatory Studies in Music program. He graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in jazz performance from the City College of New York, where he studied with Carl Allen.

He has shared the stage with ensembles led by Kurt Rosenwinkel, Aaron Parks, Ben Street, Ben Allison, Godwin Louis, Andrew D'Angelo, Jaleel Shaw, Le Boeuf Brothers, Melissa Aldana, Lauren Henderson, Jeremy Pelt, and Alex Lore.
