Jeff Buenz Trio

Guitarist Jeff Buenz has enjoyed a varied career in music for the last 40 years. He is a producer, recording artist, composer, arranger and educator. He taught at DeAnza College for 3 ½ years, and was a California Arts Council “Artist in Residence” for 9 years. He has performed and/or recorded with Stanley Turrentine, Flora Purim, Airto Moreira, Toninho Horta, Viva Brasil, Canoneo, and Claudia Gomez.

Jeff appeared previously at Chez Hanny with Left Turn No Signal, and Denny Berthiaume and Jeff Buenz.

Peter Barshay is a veteran bassist who has established a strong reputation over the years from his sideman work on both the New York City and Bay Area jazz scenes. Peter has performed with such jazz luminaries as Kenny Barron, Freddie Hubbard, Sonny Stitt, Kenny Werner, Shirley Horn, Woody Shaw, Pharoah Sanders, Blue Mitchell, Tony Williams, Joe Henderson, Joe Lovano, Johnny Griffin, Bobby McFerrin, Joey Baron, Jimmy Rowles, Tommy Flanagan, the Mingus Big Band, Victor Lewis, Lou Donaldson, Lew Tabackin, Joe Chambers, Armen Donelian, Jim McNeely, Sonny Fortune, Mike Stern, Art Lande, and Paul McCandless.

Peter has played Chez Hanny previously with Harvey Wainapel, Steve Lockwood, Michael O'Neill, Dave Scott, Peggy Stern, Edward Simon, Joshua Breakstone, Armen Donelian, Debbie Poryes, Shoebox Orchestra, Larry Schneider, and the Peter Barshay Trio.

Tim Bulkley is a drummer and artist located in the Northern California area.

Tim is known for a musical, intuitive approach to drumming. He grew up taking piano lessons, taking art classes, singing in choirs, and studying the drums. His professional career as a musician started early and has stayed a constant for over 25 years. Tim spent the years of 2006 - 2017 living and working in Brooklyn NY & 2000 - 2006 living and working in San Francisco CA.

He has played and recorded with artists including Dayna Stephens, Michelle Amador, Goh Nakamura, Evan Francis, Anton Schwartz, The Invisible Cities, John Lester, Postmodern Jukebox, Adam Platt, Stacey Kent, Boz Scaggs, Peter Bernstein, Telepathy, Wil Blades, Dandelion Dance Company, and BodyVox Dance.

He appeared previously at Chez Hanny with Julian Pollack, and the MCH Quartet.
