The Trio: Denny Berthiaume, Chuck Bennett and Curt Moore

Pianist Denny Berthiaume has performed with Bobby McFerrin, Diane Schuur, Helen Forrest, Mundell Lowe, Gary Foster, Joe Williams, Rosemary Clooney, Bob Crosby, the Mills Brothers, the Ink Spots and Ed Thigpen. He recorded 4 albums as co-leader of the successful fusion group Solar Plexus. He has appeared at the Monterey Jazz Festival, Russian River Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival, and San Miguel de Allende International Jazz Festival. He is emeritus professor in literature and music at Foothill College in Los Altos, California.

Denny has appeared at Chez Hanny previously with this trio, and in duo with Jeff Buenz.

Bassist Chuck Bennett has toured with Louis Bellson, the Beach Boys, and Maynard Ferguson. In California, he has played with Tom Scott and Art Pepper. He has extensive recording experience in Los Angeles and San Francisco for films, commercials, live theatre, and live radio. He is an accomplished bass trombonist with the Contemporary Jazz Orchestra.

Drummer Curt Moore has over 100 recordings to his credit, and has performed with the Count Basie Orchestra, Ray Brown, Joyce Cooling, John Clayton, Richard Davis, Ian Dogole, Pete Escovedo, Bruce Forman, Mimi Fox, Jimmy Haslip, Jimmy Heath, Jackie and Roy, Andy Narell, Rufus Reid, Francois Rabatth, and Turtle Island String Quartet.

Mr. Moore leads his own 5 piece Latin Jazz group Soul Sauce. He is currently on the teaching staff at the JazzSchool in Berkeley, California.

He has appeared at Chez Hanny previously with this trio, Soul Sauce, and Dave Haskell.
